I find it interesting that we, as humans, assume that we are the only species that feels pain and loss. We feel that it is “no big deal” to take away the babies of new mothers to satisfy our own happiness. We breed dogs continuously and take away their children again and again, without a second thought. We take away newborn calves from their mothers only hours after they are born. They are never reunited. And you think they don’t care? You think they don’t feel the same loss you would if your children were taken away from you, or if you were taken away from your family?
They do. And it needs to stop. -

I love abandoned places where nature is taking over again. It always makes me think about how the world would be fine if the human race was all of a sudden obliterated - things would go back to normal, it would be one giant jungle of cities covered in nature again. Also reminds me of Castle in the Sky, the 1986 movie by Hayao Miyazaki.
